Apart from the country of focus, there are cases in Austria (2), Czech Republic (one), Denmark (17), France (6), Netherlands (8), Norway (one), Spain (one), Sweden (43, with one deceased), Switzerland (2), United Kingdom (seven) and even United States (two), according to the count of the European Office of the World Health Organization (who). In total, there are 90 people divided into two groups: have the bacterium Enterohaemorrhagic (causing diarrhoea with blood) and those who have developed the dangerous hemolytic uremic syndrome (a kind of kidney failure). To them must be added the affected 1,733 of Germany (17 dead), where 199 new cases have been recorded in the past two days, 50 of them with hemolytic uremic syndrome, according to the balance sheet released today by the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin.
