As we have commented on Engadget, the very next version of Firefox 3.1 will come with juicy news initially designed for its predecessor which, for reasons of time could not be included. The biggest is probably the new JavaScript engine, which promises speeds of vertigo. But it also improves standards support, and at this point I would like to highlight some new experimental CSS properties that are es-pec-ta-cu-la-res.
These are the CSS transformations, neither more nor less. These transformations can be applied to any object, and may be translation, rotation, scale, of bias and called a special matrix, which allows even more advanced transformations. And when I say anything, I mean anyone, for example in the image above transform the Wikipedia page of Engadget and a whim. And the HTML, links and forms, they respond like normal pages!
It is not the first engine which includes support for these experimental changes, since Webkit is also implemented, indicating that in the near future may be entirely standardize and is Philanthropic supported by implemented in all browsers. For example, to enjoy the kind Coverflow animation without the need for Flash. If you want to test them, in the latest version of Minefield already activated.
